A married man went into the confessional and said to his priest, "I almost had an affair with another woman." The priest said, "What do you mean, almost?" The man said, "Well, we got undressed, naked and rubbed together but then I stopped "

 The priest, looking concerned, responded, "My son, the path you were on was a dangerous one, but it's a blessing that you stopped yourself before going any further. Temptations can be powerful, but your restraint is a sign of your commitment to your marriage and your faith."

The man nodded, relieved to have shared his struggle with the priest. "I knew it was wrong, Father, and I couldn't bear to betray my wife like that."

The priest then offered guidance and support, encouraging the man to strengthen his relationship with his wife and to seek counseling if necessary to address any issues within their marriage. He also advised the man to pray for strength and forgiveness.
